Growing up, Moira knew she wanted to take an artistic route in her career. Moira started her first tattoo apprenticeship at age 18. Her passion for tattooing stems from her love of punk and alternative music; many of her idols growing up were heavily tattooed, which inspired Moira to take up tattooing.

Much of Moira’s inspiration comes from old funerary art and Renaissance paintings, horror movies, music, and all the old masters of the trade, such as Bert Grimm, Sailor Jerry and Rosie. Moira has always been interested in traditional tattooing; she turned the fundamental traditional base into something recognisable as her own.

Moira is opening her own private tattoo studio and is looking forward to growing with that.

If Moira could give any advice to an upcoming artist, it would be:

Take inspiration from other artists, ask as much as you can when you get tattooed yourself, look and observe. Be a sponge!“
