Stainless steel instrument trays are typically used by piercers for a number of different reasons. They can be used to contain body jewellery such as belly bars, hoop nose rings and septum jewellery to keep it off surfaces and to prevent it from going missing. They are also used for putting used piercing instruments in so that any blood or bacteria on them is confined to the trays. They come in a variety of different designs including the instrument tray and the kidney dish. They are easy to clean and can be sterilised in an autoclave to ensure that they are completely free from germs and bacteria.
