Style: Black and Grey Realism

Lucy started her apprenticeship at age 23, when she first started her apprenticeship she didn’t have any tattoos, but that quickly changed! She has been drawing her whole life, it is what she always liked to do in her spare time, she then went on to study fine art at college and university (although she hated it!) however this allowed her to create a large portfolio of work and build her skills in realism drawing.

Her skills developed through years of practice, Lucy is very critical of every piece of work so that she can continue to improve. Lucy’s plans for the future include growing her social media, continuing to improve her work, and hopefully inspiring others who enjoy art. Lucy describes her favourite aspect of her job being the freedom it gives her, being her own boss allows her to travel and meet new people while doing something she loves.

Lucy’s advice to an upcoming artist would be:

work as hard as you can. So many people want to get into tattooing now so it’s a very competitive industry. Be self-sufficient, and have initiative.”
