Studio: The Church
Style: Black & Grey Realism

Nick waited until he was eighteen before having his first tattoo at a local studio. He had just finished an art course at college and had absolutely no idea what the next step was. He got talking to the tattoo artist when they told him they were looking for an apprentice. He showed them his portfolio, and the rest is history!

He learned a lot at his first studio but things really began for him when he started working at Painted Lady Tattoo Parlour with Dawnji Fantana; she supported and encouraged his work so much that he started to consider the idea of opening his own studio.

At the beginning of his career Nick explored lots of styles; traditional, neo-traditional, Japanese & even geometric before settling into his true calling of black & grey realism.

“I suppose the biggest draw for me is being able to put contrast into my work – I love the way it looks, and it helps the piece stand the test of time rather than becoming washed out. I want my work to last and for my customers to always have a piece that they can be proud of.”
