Jen Tonic has dreamt of tattooing since she was just 15. She was interested in tattoos from a very young age and drawing has always been her passion; so naturally she realised that tattooing was the perfect job for her. Jen’s tattoos are instantly recognisable for their delicate botanical look yet striking colour.

It’s something no one can recreate because it’s your very own handwriting which comes from many trials, interests, and your own feeling for aesthetics.”

Jen draws inspiration from nature, the art of renaissance, Jugendstil, fellow tattoo artists and modern artists. She developed her own style naturally by following her interests and surrounding herself with books, plants and art that reflect her true inner self and make her happy.

Jen’s advice for young artists is to get used to your own self-criticism, and to be gentle with yourself. It helps to strive to be a better artist, but from time to time you should take a rest and be proud of yourself and what you have accomplished. Balance is the key.
