From an early age, art has been present in Matt’s life. His mother and uncle have a huge interest in Japanese studios, which naturally meant he was also drawn to the art style - this was the primary motivation for Matt to become an anime/manga artist.

Matt began tattooing at the age of 22, and in his current work, he often takes inspiration from animators and authors. Matt’s turning point in his career was around six years ago when he opened his studio, where he can now tattoo people daily.

What Matt loves most about the tattoo scene is the diversity and the knowledge that so many creative and ambitious people surround him.

All meetings, guest spots or conventions are a kind of exchange of experience, different views on the matter and at the same time a break with the routine, which can all contribute to further development.” – Matt Stinger.
