Irish tattooer Matthew Larkin was introduced to the world of tattooing in the midst of his adolescence, aged just fifteen he was on holiday in Spain and asked for a tattoo of the Irish flag… He ended up with an Italian one. His advice? "Wait until you’re old enough, kids!"

Surprisingly, Matsy’s traumatic experience didn’t put him off tattooing and he kickstarted his career with an apprenticeship at Dublin Ink. These day’s you’ll find Matsy drawing on people at Legendary Tattoo Studio in Dublin, also home to his good friend and tattooer Isnard Barbosa whom Matsy says has been a big artistic inspiration to him.
